Episode 9:

The death of Vincent took her mind off any other thing around her. She was aggrieved , she never knew it was going to be like this, why would they not leave her alone, why have they decided to take away the only source of her joy, the only person that taught her how to love and the essence of living. Where will she run to, to avoid all these .

Ada ran out of the house with her valuables and took the next bus to her village. She knew marrying the god would save her people and she was ready to do it, but she should have been given more time to make up her mind and not killing her man. She was in for revenge. She got to her village some hours later and followed a quiet bush path. She wasn’t ready to go home.

She walked through the bushes watching out for wild animals and quietly she settled under an Iroko tree. “they took Vincent from me, they will all pay for his blood” she said to herself.

The king who had already sent out a search team to look for her was being visited by several people complaining about strange deaths going on within them. People have been dying mysteriously, the stream has dried up, no water, the farms are turning to weeds and the plants are dying by the second.

“Igwe, this is getting out of hand, we need an alternative, we need to appease the angry god and promise him we will bring his wife to him in no time. Lets not continue like this. Please, lets do something” an elder said.

“nothing can be done to appease the god, he is too angry and his anger will not calm until he gets hold of Ada Eke, she is the only one that can save us from this danger” the chief priest said.
The king couldn’t say a word, he just kept his head down. He was short of words and ideas.

It was twelve midnight and Ada has already changed, she moved through the forest and ate of every little thing she could sight. A man who sighted the big snake in the bus, knew it was her, she was the biggest Eke in the town. He shot an arrow at her tail and she struggled on the ground.
