A judge in Brazil, Xavier de Souza, has ordered the lifting of the popular messaging application WhatsApp after 48 hours suspension.

The judge ordered that the ban be lifted and immediately reinstalled after the company failed to comply with a court order to provide investigators with information relating to a criminal court case.

The ban birth the hashtag #Nessas48HorasEuVou (#Inthese48hoursIwill) which went viral on Twitter, with Brazilians joking about all the things they would do during the suspension.

The suspension also caused anger at Facebook, which owns WhatsAppp.
