With National unemployment figures at 9.9% of an active working population of 75.9 million, you can trust that several persons are already keying in on this gullible percentage. Sob stories especially from those seeking Government jobs are everywhere, with pleas unable to bring back money lost to fraudsters who promise jobs but deliver tears.

I am not criticism inclined and won't hold the Government to this, even as it falls squarely on them to educate job seekers on consistent guidelines for seeking employment across State and Federal institutions rather than the present situation where anyone can create Government/private letterheads with an intent to fleece the disadvantaged.

This is something I feel strongly about and with the support of a few volunteers within the HR community we have created the email account end.employmentfraud@gmail.com for jobseekers uncertain about an employment offer to send in details for authentication.

All enquiries should give as much detail on the entity/job offer in question and a feedback loop of 2-3 days be given as this is Pro bono and will be treated off work hours.

Thank you.

Please share this mail with others as we have started receiving requests which I will start posting here so others will know which jobs to avoid.

Edit. Below is a recent mail we received.

First point: Conoco Phillips no longer exists as it was sold to Oando.
Second point: the website is a fake
Third: No company on earth will make you an offer when you have not submitted all requisite documents.

May the wise be guided.
