@Op, its sad to see that you have disconnected from your culture...and you might not marry that girl based on this.....lemme give you the meaning...


1) Coconut: it is believed that the water and seed in the coconut boosts ones knowledge. coconut is a sign of increase in knowledge.....

2) Kolanut: this means your union will be fruitful.....


3) the other black stuff ( forgotten the English name now, but Yoruba call it Orogbo): this means the two of you will grow old together.....


in conclusion, they just prayed for you two and your not touching it means you didn't accept their prayers....you are not ready for marriage. sorry
