For what offense? we need to turn our laws around and make the law protect the real people it's mend for, just for transporting India hemp that is legalized in some other country you get a life imprisonment?.

India hemp has been discovered to have natural analgesic and antidepressants effects in Medicine and in some countries like Canada doctors prescribe it as a last resort to those suffering from severe pain.

Don't know why Nigeria will not take a queue from these countries and stop punishing innocent hustlers that are trying to survive

"Paraga" is more lethal than "igbó" yet it is not illegal. Nigerians should stop hiding behind religion and tradition and use their God given brains. The cultivation, harvesting and packaging up to sale can be controlled. Countries including the USA, where people think are now legalising cannabis for social use. NDLEA should concentrate on cocaine and other hard drugs that can destroy lives in an instant. Nobody is forcing anybody to smoke igbó. The igbó market is such that it will create substantial employment and generate massive revenue for government. Nigerians should think. Nigeria is the only oil producing country that imports same because some white people ADVISE political leaders to run down our refineries so that we can buy the refined products from them. This is the tragedy of the black man; inability to think. Do you know that some of the provisions in our police law date back to the colonial era?

spot on. there is no where in the world that anybody has died due to Marijuana consumption. the US alone conducted a survey and found out that there hasn't been a single death associated to Marijuana usage in the last decade. in fact majority of road accident in the US are caused by DUI (driving under influence) of alcohol which is legal. there needs to be a massive awareness on the legality of this plant in Nigeria. instead of jumping into conclusion, we should find time to research on this plant.

Our government is not winning war against drug.(Cannabis)
I suggest the government regulate and legalize the use of cannabis. There is huge amount of money to be generated from government through tax.

Recreational & medicinal use of marijuana is not bad! Only if we can regulate it with some workable policies.

Go to The Netherlands and some states in the US, then you will understand what I mean.
