The incident, which happened around 5pm, also caused some of the fun seekers to lose their valuables while trying to escape from the hoodlums.
Some of the affected fun seekers who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria described their experience as traumatic, noting that there were many pickpockets who moved around the premises, stealing items from unsuspecting visitors.
A 19-year-old student, Philip Patrick, who said he came with his siblings to spend the Christmas Day, lamented the way pickpockets were harassing visitors.
