Benjamin a working class graduate...an energetic youngman working very hard shouldering alot of responsibilities from family members and friends. He is a social guy that don't joke with any of his friend's problem.

He has a girl friend by name Betty who he intend to spend all his life time with in the circle of marriage. His money always appear on this girl because he keeps every thing she wears, eat and do flashy... He caters for her college education and housing.

One fateful day, he got involved in a motor accident which led him into a hospital where he spent roughly six months. During his stay in the hospital, Betty has little or no time to visit him just with a silly excuse that she is having a busy academic schedules and also in fund raising to meet up with her school fees and other needs now.

Benjamin was discharged from the hospital on a wheel chair because his spine was badly damaged and he could not walk again. All the effort Benjamin made to see her she brutely dimmed it.

After a week Benjamin asked one of his friends to roll him to Betty's house, on reaching there he found out that Betty had relocated to a new apartment though the neighbour they met gave them Betty's new address and with dismay they went straight to Betty's new apartment.

Arriving at Betty's new place they located her room number and knocked on her down...Betty's voice sounded from inside and after some seconds she opened her door, with much surprise and unexpected visit she came out of the room and banged the door from outside. Benjamin was highly disappointed and short of words, in the other Betty was nervous as if under tension, but managed to alter a greeting... Benjamin demanded to go inside but Betty claimed that she is going out for her afternoon lectures and that she won't leave the room for him cos she is staying with her aunty, though Benjamin sensed that this is false and decided to let her be by leaving.

Benjamin resumed work but on his resumption day he was issued a letter from the office boss by his department head. He took the letter opened it and read...it was a sack letter... On his way back home he branched inside a recreational center to easy his heartful pains on a wheel chair, he was surprise to see Betty having a funplay with a guy. He took up the fate challenge and went home asked Joe to take him back home. He is having a rent arrears of 3months but the landlord considered his conditions and let him pack without paying the incurred rent. He moved down to his village where he joined his mom and siblings... The village life was challenging because he can not do virtually anything hard with his condition. Years passed by with him on the wheel chair...deserted by his only love and friends except Joe.

One day, Benjamin was sitting outside their house, a young postman entered and asked for Mr Benjamin kwankwa...he answer and asked if there is any problem, the postman handed him a letter and left. He opened the letter, it was from his former company ...with surprises he read the letter and was overwhelmed with joy...the company invited him back because they now have a new boss. He prepared and called Joe who came down from the city and took him to meet his company... Reaching there the company admitted their wrong attitude on him which was as a result of the former boss who is greed and now under efcc for some charges...they gave a proposal to fly him outside the country for his medical treatment and also will pay him his salaries for the several years he was not with them...they crowned the whole situation by giving him a new appointment letter as the new zonal head of the company. He was full of joy and speechless

He traveled out of the country and after three months came back without his wheel chair because he can now compete on a marathon race. He resumed his work as the zonal head and the company aadvertised for a vacant position in the office which he happened to be the interview head...

During the oral interview the last person to enter, stepped in behold she was Betty with surprise and sense of humour she collapsed inside the interview hall, Benjamin made the necessary arrangement and took her to the hospital for proper medical attention but did not tell anybody who the young girl was.
