Toyota Yaris Gear Jumps Into Neutral While Driving by jojofelini: 8:35am On Dec 28, 2015
Hi I have a Toyota yaris. 2007, 1.5liter engine. Manual.
I noticed the gear keeps piping out of drive into neutral while driving.
Any possible suggestions.change of trans. Oil or transmission?

A manual transmission shifting into neutral while driving - especially when you lift your foot off the accelerator,nusually indicates worn syncro rings.

Easy to replace, but we're talking Nigeria...I would advise you buy a replacement manual gearbox, and call it a day.

Did an oil change, oil was almost dried up in the transmission casing. So far it appears to have stopped jumping out.
Will observe it though and if it repeats, will just get a replacement tranny.
