I got a bad a@* worm messin' up my antivirus(Avast,MWAV) and anti-malware(Malwarebytes).It's actually succeeded in deactivatin' them even after reinstallation.
Solutions,please

Hmmmm--------So you're using that noise making antivirus? Try this - Uninstall the avast, install bitdefender internet or total security2009/2010 and run a deep system scan. If this fails to solve the problem, then backup your important files and do a system restore back to a date before the virus affected your system. Hope this works for you cos it worked for me when I had a similar virus attack.

BTW, If a bad strong virus affects your systems and gets into your program files, Avast instead of disinfecting or healing deletes the programme files along with the virus, therefore I wouldn't advise anyone to use it. I'm talking from experience cos it happened to me, so I don't advice anyone to use AVAST.

So, datz wat AVAST does.
Anyway, i don't use any free anti-virus.

Neither do i.
I use Avast Pro 4.8.1356 and it has wiped out the worm after a 09-11-09 update.the problem is malwarebytes and mwav don't work no more even after reinstallation.

I take it dat U hv d activation code 4dat. Pls, I nid it.

Aieromon, forget the marlwarebites and get usb disk security to use along with the antivirus.

Puskin, I don't think u can update the avast 4.8 with a shared license key. Your best bet will be to get the home edition and register on their site to get a free 1yr license key that will be sent to your email. This will enable u to update easily.

Guys, do u know any reason why the l8test freedom client wont open on a pc running windows xp pro? Could it be the dotnet.FRAMEWORK cos its 2.0 which is quite old (l8test is 3.1) but the javaruntime is the l8test?
