By far the biggest issue I faced when having my first baby was how to prepare for birth. I had loads of books and I felt really passionate about natural childbirth, but actually getting through labor? I didn’t have a clue!

Over the last 13 years I’ve had six babies, all born at home naturally. One arrived before the midwife! My last three births were even more amazing than the first three because I really started to research how to have the safest, smoothest births I could.

I don’t have it all figured out because every birth is different, but I’ve finally discovered a process that works extremely well to help mamas prepare for natural birth. In this guide, I walk you through simple baby steps you can take to plan your baby’s natural birth.

Here’s a brief outline on preparing for your baby’s birthday:

Step 1: Decide if natural birth is right for you
Step 2: Understand how drugs & procedures impact labor & baby
Step 3: Find out why pregnancy diet is so important to birth
Step 4: Choose your care provider & where to birth
Step 5: Get your baby in a good position for a smooth birthing
Step 6: Discover how to work with baby and handle labor
