Hey Guys Please I Really Need Your Help On This Issue. by oyalunasamuel(m): 2:18pm On Jan 07, 2016
Hey guys please i need your help on this issue, I have a friend, i got to know through my dealings with a company where he worked as accountant. When the company folded up we will once in a while hook up and share ideas on how to revive the company. I didn't hear from him for a very long time until a former staff of the company sold an equipment of the company to a Lebanese guy without the company's consent. Somehow i got involved in the investigation of the incident. One morning i decided to put a call through to check on him, only to find out that he had been going through a lot. He's been looking after his wife whom the doctors diagnosed with a kidney failure and for a very long time had been on dialysis at the specialist hospital in Irrua, Edo state. I did my best on the phone to console him, i told him that everything was going to be alright.

I didn’t really know the intensity of the issue until one morning i was at the vulcanizers shop fixing my car tires, then i saw him drive pass with two women at the back seat in his car i was almost done with my tires at the time so i hurried the guy fixing the tires to quickly finish up. I immediately drove off on top speed trying to catch up with him, he had already gone far, but with kind of speed I was on, I was somehow able to catch up with him. I over took him and asked him to pull over. He seemed very excited to see me, but with the look on his face, i could immediately feel what he was going through as he had reduced in size with all the stress he was facing. He introduced me to his wife whom until that day we had only talked about. She managed to smile and waved from the window of the car at me like everything was okay, but with a shiver through my spine i could feel and tell she was in a lot of pain. The other lady in the car was my friends mother in-law .

He told me that he was on his way to the hospital for dialysis. As he was almost shedding tears, again i was somehow able to comfort him but this time i knew the exactly what he was going through. I deep my hands in my pockets and gave him some money to buy fuel for his car. And he thanked me. he later called that evening to thank me again.

I will often call to check on him to know how he things where going and he’ll tell me “fine we thank God”. i will go online to research on kidney diseases maybe something will just pop up that could be of help but its always a dead end.

On this particular day, i think on the 2nd of January this year, where i parked my car i heard someone call out my name when i turned back it was him on a bike so i walked towards his direction as the bike turned towards mine. We shook hands and exchanged pleasantries, then he started explaining the ordeal he had been facing. how the wife's family had even deserted them. The worst news was when he told me that the doctors said the only solution to the problem, was a kidney transplant and that it was going to cost about 30,000USD for the procedure, minus other expenses abroad. He even told me how he almost lost his wife on new year’s eve. I asked him what we were going to do about it and he said he was confused, that he had already sent an email to the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church where he worships, as regards the situation. That they have already been invited and they were traveling the next day which was on the 3rd to the redemption camp. Last night i saw his missed call on my phone so i called him this morning (7th january), to know the situation of things and he told me that he was back from the camp and that they are currently at the Irrua specialist hospital for dialysis.

You see, My friend is Yoruba and his wife is Igbo but they both live in the south. They’ve been married for a couple of years now without kids but words can’t actually describe what binds this couple together. I recall Segun telling me “Sam, this sickness big pass me, I confused finish . I can’t leave her, i no fit run leave am, i made marriage vows for better or worse. Na just God face i dey look for this matter. the tin big pass me i no go lie you”.

Until my friends wife's health challenge she was a dedicated nurse who worked at Hope Medical center in Auchi, Edo state, and sustained my friend who has been without a job until her health deteriorated

I really want to help but i swear am confused on how to go about it. I think its not just enough to pray and have faith, but act before its too late. I intend initiating a fund raiser, but i have no idea on how to go about it. I only see such ideas in American movies, I don’t know how possible its going to be in Nigeria thats why i decided to write this long article to seek your suggestions and opinion. I have lost an uncle who was very close to me from a heart failure i could feel his frustration in continuos and helpless medications only to collapse before the inevitable, that why i want to try and help in the best way i can.

Your ideas, opinions, suggestions and contributions are welcome. Below is Segun’s personal bank account number and mobile number. If you going to put a call through to him for words of encouragement and prayers, just tell him that you Sam’s friend. (He has no idea that i am doing any of this).

Thanks for reading.

I don't have cash to offer you, but all i have is in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, your friend's wife will rise again, amen.

If you are that determine to raise funds, i will advice that you guys go on tv and plead for help, especially on stations like Channels tv, NTA, AIT, Silverbird, etc. And also visit prominent churches. You guys can also write to some NGOs, especially those run by the UN, and you may also write to some prominent individuals like Dangote, Senators, especially the one representing their constituency, as well as government personel, like the Governor or the first Lady of the State concerned. Remember to put them all in prayers. You never can tell where favour may come from. Thats all i can offer. God bless you and grant your friend's wife the bread of healing, in Jesus Name, Amen!
