As salamu 'alaykum wa RahmatuLlaah.

All praise and Adoration be to Allaah for His abundance mercy Upon us all and we pray may He (subhanahu wa ta'ala) continue to Guard and Guide us to the right path.

Inshaa Allaah, we shall quickly analyze how we can earn additional rewards while Preparing for our Obligatory prayer or going to the masjeed (mosque) for solah.


(1) It is recommended that you make your Wudoo (ablution) at your residence as it was recorded by Imam Muslim that Abu Hurayrah (RadiyaLlaahu 'anhu) reported from Rasul (salla Llaahu alayhi was sallam) that, " Whoever
purifies himself for ablution in his house and he
walks to a house among the houses of Allaah (masjeed) in
order to fulfill an obligation among the
obligations of Allaah, then one step of his will
expiate his sins and another step will elevate
his status."

(2) There is a voluntary prayer (Nafila) after every wudoo called Tahiyyatu wudoo, some also call it sunnatu wudoo. It was also recorded by Imam Muslim that "There is no Muslim who performs wudoo and performs it well and then stands and offers 2 rakah (units of prayer) with devotion of heart and mind in the two of them, except that Paradise becomes guaranteed for him"

(3) Tahiyyatu l Masjeed: This is a voluntary prayer of 2 rakah while entering the masjid before iqaama as it was recorded by both Imam Bukhari and Muslim that Abu Qataadah reported that Rasul (salla Llaahu alayhi was sallam). Said "When one of you enters the masjeed, let him not sit down until he has
prayed two rakah"

(4) There is also a voluntary prayer between the adhan and Iqaama if the time permit it as it was recorded by Imam Bukhari in a narration reported By AbduLlaah bin Mughaffal that Rasul (salla Llaahu alayhi was sallam) said, "There is a prayer between
the two Adhans (Adhan and Iqaama), there is
a prayer between the two Adhans." And
then while saying it the third time he
added, "For the one who wants to (pray).

The above Nafila are only done by those who attend the masjeed early and wait for solah.
NOTE: All these are as well regarded as sunnah and there are also rewards attached to reviving a sunnah or practicing it. Revive a sunnah today and also teach and tell someone about it.

SubhanakaLlaahuma wa bi hamdik, ash' adu alaa illaha ila Llaah asaghfirka wa tuboo ilahe!
