Hello world! My name is Jibola and I’m a software developer.

In my early days as a programmer, I quickly realised what every new developer soon realizes, programming is not quite easy when we are learning it alone.

Even when there is a natural aptitude to learn in a solo way, most people need mentors to guide them in the right direction as regards what specific technologies to learn, in what order to learn them and best practices regarding the craft.

Resources like stackoverflow and other developer communities online are great but can be quite unwelcoming and harsh on a newbie with, well, newbie questions.

It is for this reason that I’ve decided to reach out to anyone interested in learning to program with a mentor/teacher with a personal touch.

I intend to work for one to two hours per day with a few number of students online through video calls with a free cool app called Screenhero that lets people talk and view each others screen. Not just view the screen, but actually type and interact with the other person’s screen! Skype and Google hangouts can also be used as situation demands.

Technologies I work with for web development are Python language with the Flask framework and Javascipt/AngularJS/NodeJS. Within a week, anyone who is really interested will be able to build basic full stack web apps with this frameworks. I know because I have done it.

I am also proficient with Java and Android development for anyone interested in pursuing a career in Android development.
