Lagos — Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Arc. Lanre Towry-Coker has explained why actual construction was yet to commence on the state's multi-billion naira Millennium Housing Estate, Ogudu, over a year after the foundation was laid by the state governor, Senator Bola Tinubu.

He also told newsmen that the government had in the last two years, expended well over N3 billion on its housing programme, which is expected to yield 45,000 units in the four-year tenure of the administration.
