Most times money 'finishes' when you do not have a plan on how you intend to spend.
You dont have to write down a budget for every item to spend wisely.
You could split your income in 3-4 places.
Like say...
This amount will be saved on monthly basis...
This amount for feeding expenses...
This amount for miscellaneous /lavishing around.
.
So you could open a contract save account with your bank... an account you cant withdraw from and with a standing order placed on it. When your pay comes in, standing order will move the money you wish to save quick to the contract save acct.
.
what's left is what you have to spend from. When it is finished, end of discussion.
.
You can do this for yourself... and you can convince your husband to do it.
.
You can have a joint acct, but you dont really need it to spend wisely.
