Its another scintillating performance by Kanu Nwankwo, presently highest goal scorer in the premier league. Today, he has added yet another goal making it 7 hope am right. Even though he missed a very good chance in netting in a second on the 22nd minute when he got a feed from Johnson.

Well, ride on Kanu, can you ever stop scoring grin grin grin

Re: Kanu On Goal Rampage: Remains Highest Goal Scorer by Jackal(m): 5:13pm On Oct 28, 2006
Rooney's already on his back.
However, i really have to commend Kanu's efforts this season.
A player so many people have condemned is the highest goal scorer in the premiership.

I am still fazed no one signed or made an attempt to sign him before Harry Redknapp did.
What a shrewd buy this is fast becoming for Pompey?
Kanu can stay up there if Pompey stays consistent.

Most would or have written Nwankwo Kanu off and advised him to taper off his career by playing in the lower leagues. After all, the 30-year-old Nigerian was cast aside by Arsenal in 2004. Then, he was released by relegated West Bromwich Albion at the end of last season. Dumped, down and out. But Redknapp saw something others didn't. He snapped up the former Ajax and Inter-Milan star in the blink of an eye on a free transfer. And he's been rewarded amply. Kanu is now top of the list of Premiership hitmen after scoring his seventh goal in nine starts against Reading on Saturday. Redknapp said: 'We are looking to build a foundation here and for that there is nothing like experience and ability. 'Kanu has that, Andy Cole has it and Sol Campbell, too. It has made all the difference bringing them in.' Kanu said: 'When the goals come, the confidence is good. I am a Christian and I love praying. I have already scored as many goals this season as I did last season and I just want them to keep coming.' Amen.
Lesson learnt - IGNORE KANU AT YOUR OWN PERIL

Kanu is in that kind of form some players usually display in the twilight of their careers. It definitely wouldn't last for too long. But one thing is for sure: Kanu is the most successful footballer to emerge from Nigeria in recent times. He is indeed a source of inspiration and pride to us all.
