I really don't understand Nigeria films these days. Why on earth will you be asking for 10 to 15 years of experience from young people seeking for job?

I believe these fellows should be employed then trained in the line of that management. I think it only banks that train fresh job seekers while others are lacking in that.

Honestly, nobody wants to spend time and resource training people. I work and understand the plight of employers when they offer fresh graduates jobs. They (fresh graduates) often make costly mistakes, and of course, the company has to bear it.

OP, you can't be qualified for ALL jobs as there are jobs meant for beginners as well as those for experienced people. But I noticed that the economy has become bad that companies are even folding up while existing ones are struggling to pay salaries, hence; vacancy is reduced.

Be hopeful though because there is light at the end of the tunnel

Because recent job seekers dont want to work but ping...facebook...chat and twitter wont let them work....this is a clear reason and i really dont blame them...my opinion....

Were you forced to apply for such Jobs? Job asking for that much experience usually pay higher and aren't even targeted at young job seekers. Cut your coat according to your size, apply for jobs that seek for much experience.

With 10 to 15 years experience you wouldn't be mistaking films for firms. Employers are fearful of young inexperienced employees being carefree. ..not diligent enough and this can lead to great losses. Or.. my bad if you were really reacting to what you saw in a Nigerian film.

This is a fallacy and an escapist excuse by Nigerian graduates that are confused and don't know the difference between entry level and experienced hire, and think every vacancy must be applied for.

No employer will ask for 10 years experience from a young graduate. It is the young graduate that is clueless and thinks every single job advert is directed at him.

When an advert says 10 years, it is not for you, they're directing it at experienced people. It is clueless grads that think are also part of the target.

There are many entry level positions by companies who don't require experience. On NL here, you see many graduate trainee, management trainee, executive trainee etc adverts. Those are the ones for graduates.

A company asking for 10 years experience is not looking for entry level workers, it is looking for the stated- people with experience over 10 years or more.

OP, if you are a graduate and current job-seeker you should know this stuff.

Secondly, an entry level might require some experience in a particular industry - You can prove this with internships during university, groups you have been a part of or academic projects undertaken in the university.
