It has been a great pain to me because of the way things are happening. Our Environment is no more in its normalcy. Many things has been contributing to the global warming thereby posing a great effect to Humans. Of course if you are very very researchful you will discover that Global Warming has depleted our Global climate. The climate is now harsh on us in the sense that; - There has been a worldwide ice melting especially at the earth poles (north and south poles). -The rise in the sea level has become so faster than the previous centuries. -There has been an increase in precipitation in the globe. There is now a lot of rain and snow fall. -Floods and droughts are now constant or common than previous years. -Diseases are spreading like never before. Don’t be surprises that there will be no such thing as dry season in Africa in more years to come. Harmattan will be no more. There will be no more summer in the temperate countries in the world.
LETS CONSERVE OUR ENERGY
Conservation of energy can contribute a lot to the reclamation of our environment. It can help to stop Global Warming or the depletion of our global climate. Since excess energy usage has caused global warming which has imposed environmental and climatic problems to man, I think, there is still a way to solve this. This few points can contribute:
1. Lets learn to turn off our bulbs when not in use: Energy can be conserved when we switch off our bulbs especially when we are no making use of these
2. Change your light bulbs: There is need to use light bulbs that save energy. Some bulbs emit harmful radiations to the environment. Make use of fluorescent light bulbs as they make use of less energy than standard light bulbs.
3. Plant Trees: Planting of trees can help to conserve energy. Trees can make a serious impact and do great things to the environment. The excess carbon dioxide which are cause by industries and other factors is building up in our environment and causing global warming. Trees absorb CO2 and releases oxygen back into the environment. Trees can also provide oxygen for people and also help to absorb odors and greenhouse gases (NO2, NH3, SO2 and Ozone) and filter particulates out of the air by trapping the on their leaves and bark. LET’S EMBRACE ALTERNATIVE SOURCES OF ENRGY
1. SOLAR ENERGY: This can help to provide evaporation and electricity ( when tapped with solar collector or panel).
2. WIND ENERGY: The use of wind turbine can help us to tap this energy for electricity and other uses.
