1. Omotola Jalade is a Nigerian actress, singer, philanthropist and former model.

2. She was born on 7 February 1978 in Lagos and she grew up in Ikoyi, Ketu and Iyana-Ipaja.

3. Omotola grew up with a family of five, her parents and two younger brothers, Tayo and Bolaji Jalade.

4. She studied Estate Management at Yaba College of Technology.

5. Her first acting role was in the 1995 movie, Venom of Justice, directed by Reginald Ebere. Reginald has been cited as launching Omotola's career.

6. Since her 1995 film debut, the actress has appeared in over 300 movies.

7. Omotola has won over 40 domestic and international awards and she is considered Africa's biggest box office actress.
