I remember my very first banking job interview. I had met Valerie through the Abuja expatriate network that I had signed up for on Yahoo! groups. Valerie was married to a European who managed a rather big enterprise for one of our former dictators. During her 30th birthday party she held a lovely party at their residence in Wuse 2 for her many friends which included banking girls who managed her accounts. I had conducted a customer service training for her sales girls and thus I was listed among her many friends who were to be invited to the party. Valerie owned one of the largest lingerie store that I have ever seen in Nigeria and she was very passionate about lingerie. She could just go on and on about lingerie.
