God created man, He loves this creation of His and He fellowship with man. But man wandered away and got lost. Indeed like sheep "all wandered down blind alleys. No one's living right; I can't find a single one. Their throats are gaping graves, their tongues slick as mudslides. Every word they speak is tinged with poison. They open their mouths and pollute the air. They race for the honor of sinner-of-the-year, litter the land with heartbreak and ruin, Don't know the first thing about living with others. They never give God the time of day." (Rom 3:12-18). How then can this lost sheep find a way back to it Creator. The sheep suffered for a deep hunger for it Creator but there was no way. Frustration overwhelmed man and he suffer alienation.

The sheep was left all alone in a world filled with wolves. Day and night it was tormented with the cry of the devourer in the wild. Fear grips it heart, it could see death not far away. The devourer prey on the sheep and taunt it for sport. It misery became the entertainment of the devourer. The Sheep tried to construct various ways by it effort. Various religion, ideology and doctrine sprang up but non of these man-made ways could lead to God. Every of it effort to get back to the Creator was futile. Aggression became the Sheep companion and the spirit of self-destruction overtook it. It became rebellious to everything including life itself. The sheep curse the day it way born, for life is nothing but a torment. The Creator saw the sheep He loves so much and have mercy on it.

The Creator sent His only son who came as a man called Jesus. This Jesus while speaking to the lost sheep said something very shocking, “I am the way... to the Father". Finally! At last! The way to the Father is here, the Father has finally reach out to man in order to bring man into fellowship with him again. But wait, the way hasn't been made available to man yet. There is a veil covering the way and Jesus had to die for that veil to be opened.
"Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter... by a new and living way which He dedicated and open for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh," (Heb 10'19-20)
Yes, through Christ death the way burst open and this way is Christ Jesus. It is a living way, the way is alive. It is a person, yes, it is Christ. Man must understand that this Christ is the only way and he must always remember that he cannot construct a way of his own. Anything outside of Christ is not the way, for there is only one way. Going outside of Christ is going out of the way and being entangled by anything that is not Christ is deviating from the way. People who had witness the way bursting open ran out to tell others that the Creator had finally made open a way that leads to Him. Many abandoned their lives in this wilderness of torment and fear, and they began their journey on the way. These people of the way were later called Christians.

"and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of THE WAY, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem." (Acts 9:2).
"But when some were hardened and did not believe, but spoke evil of THE WAY before the multitude, he departed from them and withdrew the disciples, reasoning daily in the school... And about that time there arose a great commotion about THE WAY." (Acts 19:9, 23).
"I persecuted THIS WAY to the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women," (Acts 22:4)
"But this I confess unto thee, that after THE WAY which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets... But when Felix heard these things, having more accurate knowledge of THE WAY, he adjourned the proceedings and said, “When Lysias the commander comes down, I will make a decision on your case.” (Act 24:14,22)

Indeed, the book of Acts is the story of various response to the way. Some try to destroy the way, they became agents of the devourer who wants to close the way and prevent the sheep from escaping. But the way continued to strive, for it was created my God himself and He is responsible for the protection of the way. Christ is the way to God, he is the way to partake of the things of God. Christ is the way to salvation. People do not get save when their emotions are manipulated or when they are persuaded enough. They get save by the unveiling of Christ. They see Christ the way of salvation and they enter into that way - you cannot enter the way if they did not see it. Christ is the way of the righteousness and holiness of God. You do not get righteousness or holiness by producing it but you get it by falling into the way (Christ) and walking on that way. Christ is the way of God's love, mercy and grace. We do not get these things from God by trying to please God or to earn it. But we partake from it by remaining in the way. Christ is the way to the wisdom and knowledge of God. Wisdom and knowledge is not something you get by going to Bible school and studying theology. We get it by focusing and walking on the way. Christ is the way to spirituality. You cannot find spirituality outside of Christ but when we focus on Christ we would know what true spirituality is.

Yes, Christ is the way and this way was later called Christianity. True Christianity is the way to partake in the things of God. Christianity is the way and the way is Christ, therefore Christianity is Christ. True Christianity is not a system but a living person. A system is something constructed by man, for man cannot create a living thing. All that man could create is a system (like a computer) with programs that allows it to function. A computer (or any other man-made system) is not alive and it can never be a living thing. But the way is alive, for it is totally and utterly a creation of God - only God could create living things. True Christianity is alive and it is totally and utterly a creation of God, it is Christ Jesus himself. Anything, be it a doctrine, theology, teaching, rules, system, tradition etc create by man, found in what is called Christianity today is not the way. Any man-made thing in Christianity is not the way. Anything that is not Christ found in Christianity today is not the way. For it would not lead to God neither would it lead to eternal life. True Christianity is the constituent of the resurrected and glorified Christ.

Anything that does not constitute the glorified Christ is not the way, it is not Christianity at all. The Christian doctrine is the practice and teachings of the constituent of Christ. No! The Christian doctrine is not something constructed from the don'ts and dos found in the Bible. A true Christian teaching is not an analysis of the Bible but a description of the person of Christ. Any revelation outside of the resurrected Christ would not lead to the Father, for it is not the way. Any spiritual knowledge of Biblical knowledge that is not about Christ would never lead to eternal life. If Christ is the way then let us be careful not to deviate from Christ, because if we do, we would miss eternal life. Therefore, fellow people of the way, always stand strong in the way and never deviate.

This is what every man desires, this is the longing of our soul, to find a way back into fellowship with the Creator. The way is already here, it is Jesus, so let us treasure this way.
