No company want to employ fresh hands or fresh Nigerian graduates especially in technical positions, they only go for experience graduates.

Why can't these companies or firms, employ, and then train these fresh graduates, on a period of not more than a month.

Presently, I am unemployed, because I'm a fresh graduate.

These trends in the industry should stop because I believe of these so called experienced graduates were once fresh graduates and we all passed through the same academic process in the Nigerian University system.

Employ, train and empower we fresh or resent graduates.

They keep telling us to go and start a business, but sincerely where is the capital for that?

A fresh graduate and an experienced graduate who should be in a better position to set up a business’s?

I am pained, because the more I stay unemployed, the more the knowledge I got from my degree goes into thin air.

This should be looked into and tackled.

Thank you all.

With the kind of job I do presently, I can't pay for any IT training, because they are so expensive.

The job can only give me food 2 times a day.

Can you work for free? Are you ready to earn peanut while learning? If your answer is yes, then inform the organization.

the best way to gain experience is work.
the solution is to seek to work for free, look for volunteer job, most companies won't mind hiring you for volunteering purpose and the end you gain the required experience to add to your CV.

the good thing is that more often than not, you will get paid stipends. so instead of complain, get up, roll up the sleeves and start working.

talking from "experience"... I was doing what I love doing for free, the owner decided I deserved better and got me engaged, rest naa tori

Sometimes you won't blame them too, because after training you for couple of months you'll now leave them and go for a better paying jobs. This is one of the challenges they face in their Graduate Trainee Schemes.
