Good day my lovely Nairalanders, i just finished my OND from a federal polytechnic, i studied Accounting, so i will be applying for my DE this year.. Am really stuck at a crossroad whether to apply for BSc. Accounting or Economics.. Please which one should i go for. Please i need your candid advice. Dear talk to God for directions. In my own time i wanted to read Economics but as at that time lasu don't have and i opted of Buz Admin. But i still felt am missing something inside of me, then i said to myself Economics will be my second degree .

I prefer Economics to Accounting..........

An Economist can wrk as a banker, accountant, statistician, marketer, bis manager.....etc
Buh accountant is limited to banker , nd mayb bis manager, an acountant can nva wrk as a statistian or an Economist..

If i was the Op, i'ld rather research on both courses and then decide the path to take. The good thing about both courses is that you can switch career paths to sub-disciplines of both courses when practising. E.g a graduate of both fields can delve into investment banking easily (Depending on ones intellectual capability tho).

Taking ICAN exams makes him an accountant on paper, he has to really understand the GAAPS, principles concepts and other things associated to the field to excel in that career path.

Sir, i finished from Federal Poly Bauchi, i was given Admission into 200 Level Economics here in Unimaid, am even starting my exams on 3rd jan 2017...
