Can A Christian Make Heaven If He Doesn't Go To Church? (2) (3) (4)

He Doesn't Convict You Of Sin by Gombs(m): 6:17am On Feb 29, 2016

For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world (1 Corinthians 11:31-32).

It’s not the ministry of the Holy Spirit to convict God’s people of sin. The Bible says the Holy Spirit will convict the world of sin, not the Church.

For the Church, the Bible says, “For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged” (1Corinthians 11:31). That means by our own spirits, we can tell when we’ve done something wrong, and our own spirits will judge us. We let our spirits judge us, so that we might not be judged of the Lord. Your spirit has the nature of God.

When you do wrong, what you need is to act on the Word of God: receive forgiveness. You don’t ask for forgiveness, which is where a lot of people miss it. The Bible didn’t say that you ask for forgiveness; rather, it says in Hebrews 4:16 , “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Did you notice it doesn’t say, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, and ask for mercy?” Instead, it says “to obtain,” that is, collect it.

You may have done something wrong and prayed to God to forgive you, and in your heart, you knew He forgave you. Some days later, the guilt of what you did weighs down on your mind and it seems as though He didn’t quite forgive you, so you find yourself asking for forgiveness again. The truth is, He isn’t responsible for the accusation you felt in your mind, because it’s not part of His ministry to convict you of sin.

Jesus is your advocate with the Father. Thus, when you say, “Father, I receive forgiveness for what I did,” immediately, you’re forgiven. The Bible says He is faithful and just to forgive us, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). It didn’t say He’s quick to judge us and convict us. Your spirit does that; but God is greater than your spirit (1 John 3:20-21).

You err! What that verse is saying is that it is better for believers to judge themselves than to be disciplined by the Lord and that is far better to be disciplined by the Lord than to be judged together with the ungodly world. It nowhere says that the Holy Spirit does not convict us of sin. How then do you think believers will be able to judge themselves if the Holy Spirit has not convicted us of our sin? undecided

"And you has He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins" (Ephesians 2:1).

Your spirit without the Holy Spirit is dead. If the Holy Spirit is not connected to your human spirit you will be left with your conscience unless you have been taught that you are a god and that you can operate without the Spirit of God.

What's wrong in asking and receiving forgiveness? Unless you are saying that you know more than our Lord Jesus Christ who said we should ask and receive.

"Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you: For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks its shall be opened" Matthew 7:7-8. undecided

The truth is, He isn’t responsible for the accusation you felt in your mind, because it’s not part of His ministry to convict you of sin.

It is the personal ministry of the Holy Spirit to bring the ungodly world under the conviction of sin:

"And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness and of judgment" (John 16:8 ).

If you are an habitual sinner the Holy Spirit will convict you of your sin and if you refuse to genuinely repent He will chastise you and if you still harden your neck He will then judge you together with the ungodly world.

The Bible says godly sorrow leads to repentance. Did you have godly sorrow when you sinned? and that's if you believe in repentance. undecided

"For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world works death" (2 Corinthians 7:10).

Your model, Joseph Prince put it out there in the public domain and I quote

"The bottom line is that the Holy Spirit never convicts you of your sins, He never comes to point out your faults".

Where did he qualify the saying that he was only referring to Christians? Is he only ministering to Christians? How can he say that the Holy Spirit never convicts you of sins?

I'll advise you to rather drag it out with the Holy Spirit and let Him tell you what His Personal ministry is.

Where did he qualify the saying that he was only referring to Christians?

Did you bother to know what service he was in? What if it was a leaders' conference or Pastor's Conference? etc?

Yeah, It's a book, did you read the preface?

Is he only ministering to Christians? How can he say that the Holy Spirit never convicts you of sins?

The bible clearly said the Holy Spirit convicts the WORLD of sin.

I'll advise you to rather drag it out with the Holy Spirit and let Him tell you what His Personal ministry is.

You could not point out one single verse, yet you're hell bent on being contentious. undecided

Hmmmmm.. I think am interested on this topic.

Well both of you are actually making a point.

But I think you should shade more light on the world of sin.

Does the Holy spirit have any business with the world

Hmmmm I think that very verse is talking about the believers who have Holyghost.

You see, when you re truly a born a bornagain, the Holy Spirit will began to guilde, instruct, and chastise you as well. He tell you the way you replied that man is not proper, you re too hash at him. You shouldn't have to talk to him that way. Most of the things which you re doing which you think is normal, the HolySpirit will let you know they are not good, even those sin which are not recorded in the bible, the holyspirit will make you to iddentify them and avoid them.

He will therefore makes you to work toward perfection. Mathew 5: 48. You must therefore be perfect even as your heavenly father is perfect.

These are the ways holyspirit will convict and washed the believer off, from the world of sin.

Infact that is one major reason Jesus christ sent us the holy spirit, it is to help the believers to be able to eliminate sin entirely from there life.

My brother Holyghost were only sent to the bornagain and not the world. And he shall continue to comfort, help, correct, and chastise us till Jesus come.

My dear brother am talking from experience, I knows what am talking about. Infact these is the types of topic I like to read, Holyghost is my best friend, whereever they mentioned his name or talk about him, I will always stop by to know what they are discussing.

I disagree with mr ola, he said what sin is in the christians that the holyghost want to convicts. It means that he he did not understand the ministry of the Holyghost.

Now let's look at it this way.

The bible says that men called sin enjoyment,

There re things you will do as an unbeliever, which is not even right for you to do, but you will stii be boasting about it, you don't feel there is anything wrong about it. But the moment you gave your life to christ, those things will still rear their ugly head, paradventure you fall into it, you will be ashamed of yourself, and ask God to forgive you, these are the same things you do confidently without any shaking. That is the holyspirit chastising you at that moment. Mind you even before you do it, he will tell you to desist from it, that you re now a new person.

When you continue to hear and takes his correction and advice, you will become his friend. But if you continue to forsake his warning, he has no other choice than to leave you.

He doesn't come again easily, unless he sees your sincereness and your seriousness.

Without him your christian work and strugle is useless. And such a person can never makes heaven. Shee de person won tifam ni

Thanks. Am sorry for my gramertical errors. God bless you.

Convicting the world of sin are those who do not believe on the name of Jesus. That is what the Holy Spirit convicts SINNERS of.

Does the Holy spirit have any business with the world

Yup! We are His business. Remember, Jesus said He'd remain with us till the end.

Hmmmm I think that very verse is talking about the believers who have Holyghost.

Why?

You see, when you re truly a born a bornagain,

No such thing as TRULY bornagain or FALSELY bornagain

the Holy Spirit will began to guilde, instruct, and chastise you as well.

These are not the same as convicting. undecided

He tell you the way you replied that man is not proper, you re too hash at him.

that's rebuke

You shouldn't have to talk to him that way. Most of the things which you re doing which you think is normal, the HolySpirit will let you know they are not good, even those sin which are not recorded in the bible, the holyspirit will make you to iddentify them and avoid them.

that's counsel

These are the ways holyspirit will convict and washed the believer off, from the world of sin.

He doesn't convict believers. If we sin, we have an advocate - Jesus. why would the Holy Spirit convict those whose defense counsel is Jesus?

Infact that is one major reason Jesus christ sent us the holy spirit, it is to help the believers to be able to eliminate sin entirely from there life.

Wrong! Jesus has already dealt with the issue of Sin on the cross.. the Holy Spirit brings us power to do God's work.

My brother Holyghost were only sent to the bornagain and not the world. And he shall continue to comfort, help, correct, and chastise us till Jesus come.

Spirit of truth.

My dear brother am talking from experience, I knows what am talking about.

We don't need your experiences... all i need is the word. You surely don't know what you're writing about

Infact these is the types of topic I like to read, Holyghost is my best friend, whereever they mentioned his name or talk about him, I will always stop by to know what they are discussing.

Good. Find out more about Him. wink

I disagree with mr ola, he said what sin is in the christians that the holyghost want to convicts. It means that he he did not understand the ministry of the Holyghost.

Really? Bible reference please

That is your new nature fighting the old.

Mind you even before you do it, he will tell you to desist from it, that you re now a new person.

That's counsel

When you continue to hear and takes his correction and advice, you will become his friend. But if you continue to forsake his warning, he has no other choice than to leave you.

Jesus said the Holy Spirit will abide with us FOREVER... there is no condition for this outside being born again.

He doesn't come again easily, unless he sees your sincereness and your seriousness.

This is religion. Stop the heresy

Without him your christian work and strugle is useless. And such a person can never makes heaven. Shee de person won tifam ni
