Former senate president and Senator-elect David Mark over the weekend donated some food items and relief items to the victims of Agatu massacre.

The materials donated include rice, indomie noodles, vegetable oil, mattresses, mats, blankets salt and buckets.

Presenting the materials to John Ngbede, the representative of Agatu people, Mark, who was represented by Dr. Adakole Elijah, expressed sympathy with the people over their plight and urged them to look unto God even in the present condition.

While expressing confidence that both the state and federal governments will rise to the occasion, not only to alleviate the pains of the displaced people but find a lasting solution to the crisis, the former Senate President also expressed confidence in the ability of the Nasarawa State government to reciprocate the gesture by cooperating with the Benue State government in its move to put an end to the hostility.
