Foremost comedian, Ali Baba who has grown to become one of the most followed social influencers is putting plans together towards performing a series of monologues adapted from the book ‘Loud Whispers’ written by investment banker, Joseph Edgar.
Scheduled to hold on May 1, 2016 at the Muson Center, Lagos, the book is a light hearted look at ‘Nigeria and Nigerians’ which have elicited so much laughter and attention through its acerbic but comical banter on very topical issues. It is a compilation of Edgar’s very interesting articles published in his weekly column on a popular Nigerian daily, This Day Newspapers.

Produced by popular broadcaster, Olisa Adibua, Shina Peller of Quilox and Mofoluwake Edgar, the play will be directed by award winning stage director, Kenneth Ukpoho fresh from the British Council Theatre Festival where he was the Festival Director and oversaw the staging of a series of plays over a five day period.

Through a mixture of dance and song, Ali Baba in various scenes would address current issues, throwing light jabs at political and social actors, give advise and pass commentaries while entertaining and holding the crowd spell bound.
