When I was little, I wanted to grow up so fast, to make decisions on my own. I craved to be independent and not always have to do what Mum says.

She will make me do chores when all I just want is to slouch on the couch, watching cartoons or play with the other kids.

One day I will have all the time in this world to myself and do as I please, I won’t stay at home forever, I would console myself. Grown ups are so lucky, I would say, nobody to order them around.
