The pictures below said it all, the ferocious cruelty Lagos State Government is subjecting Mr. Lateef Agoro into at his age of 85. A man that is supposed to be enjoying retirement and good times with is family is made to be sweating everyday, his plea for mercy to the office of the Commissioner of Work met deaf ears of the commissioner who insisted that the old man can go to hell.
I wonder in the whole world why any government would want to be wicked to any of its citizen to the level of positioning pedestrian bridge to block entrance to the person's house no matter what. Apart from exposure of the privacy, what about the security threats this pose to the old man, how will he enter his house with his car and the two lorries he possess.
I heard the commissioner of works on Channels TV saying; the government has right of encroachment, but will pay compensation. The right to take away property, freedom, privacy, leisure and even the joy of a 85 years old man at a time he needs the government to be there for him more than ever.
Do these guys in government have any empathy at all?

the law of the land is clear on this, government reserve the right to make use of any land for public service, but has to pay compensation to the owner, though is a pity that it hinder assess to his vehicles, but compromise can be reached in favour of both, I pity the old man shaa,I saw it on channels.

Can compensation be paid for privacy, freedom and security? Sometimes we do not know pains people go through especially at his age until one get involved
Note that, the first pillar of the bridge will block the car and pedestrian gate while the second blocks the lorries gate
