http://fraudwar..com/2006/04/25-ways-to-avoid-auction-fraud-from_15.html

99% of internet business are not !!

the offers are generally too goo to be true

they usually want money transfer > whenever someone mention western union money transfer to you just forget the whole thing

if they are not in the same country as you you really dont need to do business with them, you can always pay higher for what you know you will get

they usually have bad spelling- a bit tricky as you know some people are generally bad

they'll usually refer to you as Sir/Ma or some superior shizzle

they tell long stories- im currently not in the country my uncle's present this and that blah blah

they want to pay you higher for whatever you offer to sell like $1000 dollar for a $50 bag

some have fake websites always check the https:// and the padlock on the lower bar when making payment,
you can right click on webpages then click on properties to view the security certificate

here is my little input on this :
1, if a site has mostly or only email id as their means of contact, then its not good enough ,they might be trying to hide something .
2,if they don't have a verifiable contact address ,that too is not a good sign either ,and even when they have one u should try to get someone in that country and ask them to visit them or call them ,you may also check their contact address and numbers with the local registry and see if its there or not .
3,are they member of any well known organization or body that deals in their area of their specialization, for example if they are in e-currency categories ,are they a member of GDCA ?
4,what about the design of their website ,is it poor do they use free web page ,do they use free web mail and not an email that comes with their domain name ?example :admin@yahoo.com undecided a company that is serious should have all this .
5,try to see how seriously they pay for advertising their site ,its always the case that a site that pays well for advertisement are serious people ,if not why pay so big for adverts?
6,if they keep continually changing the terms of their site especially when it relates to payments of your dues then its red flag,a good and honest always have done their homework even b4 they launch their site in the first place.
7,how quickly do they update the members about their site and whats going on,if they are poor in this area its always cos all they care is what they get from you and not what quality of service they give to you .
8,do they have their own forum ? do they ban people their cos they post what the admin doesn't like ,when people post that they are not paid ,how are they treated ,do they ban them or take care of the problem, especially when it relates to non payment of dues or earnings ?
9,do they have higher offers than most other sites ,there this saying that if its too good to be true then it is,be careful out there .
i could go on and on ,however one fact must be made clear here ,the best place to put Ur money and it would be safe and earn u small interests is in Ur local bank ,online stuff are generally risky and you should not put in more than you can afford to lose ,the best you could do with the above lists is to minimize your risks and make some profits .
