With Omicron is there a chance some teams or leagues will refuse to release their players for Afcon? Remember the Cape Verde 1st leg game? Should we have a stand by second string side incase the EPL or other teams refuse to release players.

Nothing like that clubs will release the players. That one was because of a COVID-19 red list. No such thing as that currently.

If clubs refuse to release players it's just a simple thing, national team FAs will write to FIFA to ban the players from playing for their clubs during the period of camping till the end of the tournament (it is allowed and will be obeyed).

The national team wields more power in this regard than clubs except all the players choose to retire at one from international football or a very serious injury (that would still need assessment from the NT doctors).

No club will and can withhold players from AFCON. If they are worried about Omicron, they should look at the crowd of fans/spectators.

Actually this is not the first time he will be playing CB, if you follow his club football well, you will know he had played a number of times there, both in Belgium, and England

beside he started out as a CB

Are you aware that no such list exists anylonger?
We don't have players in the Canada and US.

All players invited will be present for camping after Christmas break except for personal club arrangements.

Even during the Euros and Copa America there were red list but we saw best of players grace the tournament.

Guy just dead this talk

And Algeria takes the lead again vs Qatar.

Same Algeria we massacred in 2018. All they did to switch their luck was to change coach. That is why I believe sacking Rohr is the right move for us too.

This is not the point of debate. The point is obeying camp rules set by authorities.

If the law says no visitors during camping for International games, you can not go and do the opposite.

Even if sleeping with three girls in one night will make the player score a double hat trick the next day, he can not do it. That is breaking the laid down rules.

When you coach your own, you can make your rules that players should camp in brothels before the game.
The point of the debate was not obeying camp rules. Napoleon55 made two points but the point that if you sleep with your wife before the game, it would not affect your performance but if you sleep with a person who is not your wife, it will affect your game is what started the debate. And understandably so because nobody contested obeying camp rules but the other point is controversial.

Aribo was called up when he joined the Scottish premier league. His debut was against Ukraine in September 2019.

Aribo's call up was well before he joined Rangers,he was already invited and had been in consideration by Rohr and the NFF for over a year.

Rangers had their first game in the 2019/20 season in Scottish premier League on the 4th of August 2019, that's the day the season started. It was also Aribo's first game in the SPL .

Aribo had just played 4 games in the Scottish premier League before he played for the SE on the 10th September 2019. Are you suggesting that after just 4 games he was therefore invited to the SE❓.

You know that's not TRUE.

You have changed it. Nobody contested that camp rules should be broken. Nobody.

I am not hear to make a moral judgement.

But the issue is , the pertinent question❓❓ , does this in any way affect affect their ability to perform at the highest level.

Sleeping with your wife or girlfriend or Escort it's a question of perspective.

Having a bout of bedmatics may actually help a player to relax and focus on the game and overcome stress and nervousness. And one thing for sure, it will enhance his ability to get a really good night's relaxing sleep before a very important game.

Look at what I am responding to (bolded). It is not about wife or girlfriend clearly stated in the comment.

So I pointed out it is about abiding to laid down rules and not about just performance.

What's the point of an Arab Cup? The North African teams just walk all over their Arabian counterparts
