The wing is easily locked up. Modern approach has made such a style so so outdated. Nowadays, if the fullbacks aren't getting opened space by midfield play to run in, it's nothing valuable to the team. We missed Ndidi definitely. I also noticed the lockdowns once the wingers received a pass. They just can't move. Nobody is opening up any space, so they pass right back to the defenders.
