Leicester City Star Ndidi: Messi Is Unstoppable, We Have To Beat Croatia, Iceland

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was honest to admit that Nigeria will find it difficult to beat Argentina when both countries face off at the World Cup on June 26 because the South Americans have the best player on the planet, Barcelona's Lionel Messi.
The Super Eagles kickoff their sixth World Cup campaign against Croatia on June 16 before another intriguing clash against tournament dark horses Iceland six days later, and the Foxes current Young Player of the Year has stressed that they have to pick up wins in the first two games or know their last sixteen fate before battling Argentina.

''Argentina team is very good, for me I will say Messi is unstoppable. He is the best player in the world,'' Ndidi explained to FIFA World Cup Russia Magazine.
''We just have to try and win, give it all in our first two games before we face Argentina.''

Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel says they are not traveling to Russia just to make up the numbers but to make history, which means they are targeting at least a place in the semifinals of the World Cup.

''I think we are in a group where we can do something. It depends on our preparations and how much we want it, not just we have qualified let's just go and play the World Cup.
''We want to make history, we want to do well. We want to make sure we go there believing we can beat Argentina, Croatia and Iceland,'' added Mikel.

The Super Eagles will face Democratic Republic of Congo, England and Czech Republic in friendlies before their trip to Russia for this summer's football festival.

About Ezenwa's last performance against Go Round, Journalist Ufuoma Egbanumo writes:

"If Gernort Rohr is watching this, don't know how confident he will be with our keepers, First Ezenwa comes to punch a cross, misses it and Go Round score a legitimate goal that officials rule out for a non existent offside. Then minutes later, Ezenwa attempts to chip a Go Round with little pressure on him and almost gifts Go Round another goal."

Same bro. Those guys make countless misplaced passes. You can't count on them to advance with triangular passes in transition

A dribbling Iwobi would have done better than that useless Welbeck that can't make an attacking run on the wing.
He made it look like it was 10vs10.

Ozil, Ramsey and Wilshere had a bad bad game too.

Shock that le prof didn't make any subs.

1-1 and I wonder how the arsenal defenders would face beast Costa.

Who were the Impact players on the bench? He would have only made substitutions if we were leading like 3-0 to rest some players for the return leg.

I told someone even when it was 1-0, that Wenger was not going to make any substitutions. He had his best 11 on the field.

The question is how much better could they have done with him❓ Furthermore it was Ibrahimovic who retired from international football voluntary, they actually wanted him to stay. He has played 5 games in the MLS and scored 3 goals.

The proposition that you make here really is without
substance. Considering that Dani Alves, Robben, Riberie, Defoe, are well above 34 but top players in top teams.

We qualified without them.

Your mediocre Arsenal just threw away the opportunity to nick a 2-1 win to make things much easier for them in Spain. You will most likely lose in Spain or get knocked out through the away goal.

what is this story i am hearing this morning about abuja supreme court annulling election of amaju pinnick?

The Supreme Court only referred the case back to the Federal High Court to be tried properly to know which of the elections held in 2014 was right.

“Amaju was NOT a party to the case at the Supreme Court so the court could not have removed a party from office without joining the party and hearing from the party.”

Other NFF officials also clarified the ruling, insisting that their board is still in charge and Nigeria’s Russia 2018 World Cup plans are on course.

Obi May Face Prolonged Injury Layoff, Undergoes More Tests
April 27, 2018 11:16 am

Super Eagles midfielder, Joel Obi, will go for further tests on his anterior hip muscle next week, and will likely face a prolonged layoff as the Serie A side works harder at restoring his full fitness, Completesportsnigeria.com has garthered

Obi who will sit out of Torino’s Serie A home clash against Lazio on Sunday is currently undergoing therapy and could spend more time on the sidelines.

The Nigeria international missed Torino’s 2-1 away defeat to Atalanta last weekend.

Italian website, toro.it reported on Friday that Torino were still monitoring the fitness conditions of Obi and Antonio Barreca, an Italy U-21 defender. Both players were expected to undergo fresh medical tests because their therapy sessions on Thursday confirmed that they were not close to full recovery.

Obi, 26, has made 22 Serie A appearances and has scored five goals and provided two goal assists.

Torino occupy 10th position in the Italian Series A table with 47 points from 34 games. There are four games left to play.

Eagles Handed Big Boost As Ebuehi Resumes Full Training, Carries Nigerian Flag

Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr has been handed a big boost less than two weeks before he is expected to submit a provisional 35-man World Cup roster to the Nigerian Federation, with news that one of the players to be named on the roster has resumed full training following a spell on the sidelines.
ADO Den Haag defender Tyronne Ebuehi participated in full training.

For about seven weeks, the right-back was struggling to overcome a groin injury which had made his availability for the friendlies against Serbia and Poland questionable, and made him miss league games against Excelsior Rotterdam, FC Utrecht and Heerenveen.
Sir Kog45 you remember how I was saying that the young man was not fully fit for the match against Serbia? 7 weeks gone and the young man is just recovering. Bengine did say that this injury takes time to heal and this report proves him right

You're not the only one, bro. I really can't understand what Arsene Wenger sees in Jack Wilshere!

As per Mustafi, the less said the better. The question I have always asked is, 'has Per Mertesacker became so bad that Mustafi has to play come what may? That dude has been having a stinker all season long!

In fact, the new regime can't come fast enough. I am not an Arsenal fan but I feel bad for them. To me, Wenger should've been let go 2 seasons ago.

My brother, they said if he were not fit Rohr would not have played him. Look how long it has taken him to heal. He had that injury almost two weeks before the friendlies. Five weeks after the young man is yet to regain full match fitness.
