It doesn't inspire confidence, Ndidi is too much of a. DM he is not an intelligent ball player like Mikel. They could get over run in midfield.

Sometimes you need a striker to hold it up for you when the going get tough and impose himself on the defence. That is not the KC game, we will definitely miss Mikel.

Balogun as wing back he is not technically proficient enough. Keita will have him for dinner I actually prefer Shehu in that position by a huge gap.
get overrun? Was it not this same Ndidi that played for Leicester against Liverpool? Was Mane not in that Liverpool team? Was he or anyone else overrun?

Balogun is not technically proficient enough, so who do you suggest we field?

This is the best we can field considering what we have, I don't know what you were expecting or what you think Senegal is.

They are not the AFCON winners and we will still field a team similar to this against those guys, so just enjoy the game

I LOVED the idea.. We are divided in this. I am still of the opinion that we will do better with a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2. Omeruo starting ahead of Ebuehi somehow supports my thinking.
But let's not rule the latter off too prematurely.
3-4-3 won't be bad. cos we have lots of wingers now

Senegal clearly the better side after 12 mins. Ndoye has hit the post.

This is a very powerful Senegal team make no mistake. They press as a unit. So Eagles finding it hard to play from the back

Nigeria finally spring Simon on the left, he bamboozles the full back but his cross was behind Iheanacho. 0-0 17'

Onazi playing like a skipper has just been felled by a knee in the back from Mame Diouf. Receiving treatment at the moment.

Referee is signalling for a stretcher for Onazi. This does not look good. John Ogu is warming up!

Senegal played one man down for a great part of the game and Wilson Oruma lost a penalty late into second half of extra time to have made it 2-2.

That was the game that sent Oliseh, Finidi, Babangida and some others parking from the national team.

Photographic memory. You tried to remember all that.

You still can't compare Aluko's performance in the championship with the likes of what Moses, Iwobi, Ndidi, etc are doing in the EPL.

Why? Are you saying Iwobi would have won Championship player of the month at Fulham?

Cheickh Kouyate dumps Echiejile on the floor. Free kick. Superbly driven in by Iheanacho defended well by Kouyate

Go to Calvin Emeka's TL on twitter and you'd get the same updates. He's there in the stadium. He and Shina Okeleji but, Shina is not updating that much....

John Ogu has brought a little semblance of calm and the Eagles are passing it better. Still goalless

Fabulous pass and move orchestrated by Ogu and Ndidi is wasted by a dreadful attempt of a cross by Musa. He should have done better

Please can we give the Sone Aluko issue a rest, all players can not be invited. Some people say it like he is the next best thing we have. He might be a good player but is he needed in the SE right now, the answer is no. Will he be needed? Maybe. Kalu and Onyekuru did not get a look in does not mean that they don't matter. And the championship is not as good as it is being painted. Even EPL teams are struggling in Europe let alone championship. Seems some people are hell bent on selling the championship. Aluko is average just like most of our player so I don't know why the advocacy. In as much I like the guy's style of play, he just might not fit in into the coach's plan

Why will you say Aluko is not needed and he is Average? Aluko is not average and he is much needed. Can you tell me a creative midfielder in our team that I better than Aluko?

Certainly it is a far more even game now. Senegal have a corner after Simon's attempt at showboating by his corner flag.

Chance. Ogu and Ndidi free Iheanacho. City striker takes a touch inside the box and drags his shot wide of the far post. Should hit target

Glorious ball by Ndidi releases Musa in on goal but wide. No one at the far post to meet his cross. Musa is quick!
