Caseless:
when you put the number of literate in the north against the south, north has more. It is the ratio of literates against the illiterates within the north that's giving you the impression u have about the north.
Even northerners will not agree with you.
Majority are not literates

Akwa ibom is worse, we force them to attend classes.
I don't know why they want to have believe nothing of such is happening in the south. The east is something else. I pity their kids though

May be your figures are public schools.

Most schools in western Nigeria are private own, for ever 1 public school, you have 2 private

The total number of schools in the north is less than 10,000 because the schools are bad everywhere.

These statistics say a lot about northern Nigeria and the general misconceptions about them.
1. The north has a very high population rate contrary to what most people think.
2. Inspite of the large population of kids roaming the streets, the North still has more schools than the south even with the same ratio of teachers to pupils.
3. If these stats are correct, then it is safe to assume that the population of the North is even higher than ascribed to it.
4. Even if these figures are inaccurate, the margin of error should still be low.
5. Think twice before u scream the usual it is goats and cows that vote in the north.
6. Lastly, to those who will scream that Muslims generally do not attend school (this may or may not be true), please be informed that there are several Christian states in the north (assuming the percentage of xtians ins skuls is higher). Plateau, Taraba, Benue are xtian states with many of the other states also boasting a hight population of xtians. When next you make those ugly noises remember dat your millions of relatives in the North also skul there. cheers.

it says number of public primary school, but down here in South, esp. lagos, private primary school is 40x more Dan public schools..

can't say dat in the north..... here in my area, dere is only two public skuls, while dere re more Dan 50 private skuls
