What are the most bizarre things you've seen, done, experienced religious people, Christians particularly do all in the name of blessings?

A pastor asked his so called congregation to bring their possessions for blessings. Seriously?

Another I heard was a lady buying all sorts of oils to ward of spirits and all those stuffs that won't make her successful.

Another was for people to pay a certain amount for so called spiritual healing. That's fraud.

Another I heard was a lady was asked to drink a bottle of olive oil for so called cleansing. Well she died of course.

Sometimes I believe this is just born out of greed. These people want easy money. They don't want to work for anything. They just sit around and do whatever a man tells them to do all in the name of miracles.

So what's the most bizarre thing you've heard people do all in the name of religion?

Blowing in oneself up in the name of jihad is the most bizarre and irrational thing some people do in the name of religion.

Giving a tenth of one's meagre income to an over fed pastor comes a very distant second.

And what do these people gain in both cases? Because quite frankly if you ask me, it's a waste. That money could very much. As well be given to the beggars on the streets instead of an over fed pastor.
