The Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Adetunji has warned leaders of the Igbo community in Ibadan to subject themselves to the authority of the baales in their domains.

The king said said Eze Ndigbo must operate within the framework of the Ibadan traditional authority.

The monarch said on no account would the palace attend to the Eze without passing through the baales under who they must subject themselves.

I hate this country called Nigeria for one thing. we take irrelevant things too serious. it's a normal thing. when we talk of tradition everybody is under the King leadership. we claim to be one Nigeria but we don't act as one.

2. Did eze ndi Igbo beg him for money?
Answers ..1 and 2 is "NO"

How was that Ezedigbo title helped the fellow igbos living outside their ancestral homes and how is this Ezendigbo a threat to some of these traditional yoruba rulers? If you ask me it makes no difference whatsoever cos we all know such titles are not recognised anyway. But I want to ask this very simple question? Why are yorubas so quick to intervene in matters concerning igbos but very slow to do so in the case of Hausas/Fulanis? Just asking.

You can say all you want but bottom line is Igbos are their own kings in Yoruba land while not a single person dare own a shop talk less of call themselves an Oba in the East. Yoruba land is home to Emirs and Ezes.
