The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has clinched the first position at the 8th National Mathematics Competition for University Students (NAMCUS 2016) that was held in Abuja between 3rd and 9th April, 2016. A 500L student of the Department of Mathematical Sciences, FUTA emerged the best student Mathematician across Nigerian Universities. FUTA won four Medals (One Gold, Two Silver and One Bronze). The students were tested in Algebra, Complex Analysis, Real Analysis, Functional Analysis and Differential Equations.
