Last weekend, NigezieTV premiered the 1st edition of the NigezieAtTenSeries . This is our compilation of some of the ten most exciting moments in different aspects of the Nigerian entertainment industry in the past ten years and beyond . We kicked the series off with the Top 10 One Hit Wonders in the Nigerian Music industry. A one hit wonder is someone who has a single so big, everybody expects him or her to become the next big thing in the industry. Then they find the path to Oblivion, and begin to walk, or sometimes run, along it.’ They dont have just one song in their careers but they failed to come up with another hit song to follow up on initial success. 10. I don't think Weird MC is a one hit wonder. Maybe a 2 or 3 hit wonder, but she was around for quite a while. Those of you who are in your 30s might remember a massive hit she had back in the day - around 1996 or so, titled Allen Avenue. - - - - - - - Allen Avenue Allen Avenue, Allen waaaa.... |
