Today I tried to pay for some items in aliexpress.com, using Zenith Bank master card but the payment failed and when I contacted Zenith Bank, I got this:

“Dear Esteemed Customer,
Thank you for contacting us.
Please note that the bank has restricted our Naira cards from transacting in China. This explains why your transaction attempt failed as the acquiring country of the website is China.
Thank you for choosing Zenith Bank.”

Your help on alternative better payment options will be appreciated please

try using a visa card that has online payment activated on it.

I am very sure that you are aware that CBN has restricted the using of Nigeria mastercard card from international payment.The only option I will suggest to is to sign up for paypal and link your card with paypal then make your payment through the card. I can make the payment for you at a black market rate.

aliexpress does not have a paypal option

On this issue what was the trade value of your transaction and did you contact their Cc on cell phone or email and doyou have any idea of their spending limit per day or monthly.

The only proactive restriction on any Nigeria master card is when you want to use it in any ATM/POS machine outside the country & you failed to inform your bank to remove the restriction here in Nigeria...

So all Nigeria naira master card has been program and inbuilt to use online with the issuing bank rules on limit...

I emailed there cc and I got the China blockage stuff from them.
I planned to stop over in one of there branch and if they are unable to solve the payment issue, I will then approach other banks for help and the one that gives me helping hand automatically means porting from Zenith to that bank

Ok... that will be a wise option because 70% of Nigeria Bank Online Cc are all empty-headed then give you wrong info and why the ones in the bank hall is totally rule out only 5% of them have knowledge of their package. COME TODAY COME TOMORROW STORY

Only one bank has been able to improve in their packages educating [ UBA ] @ 56% level other bank should improve!!!
