Kogi state university ASUU has just rose from an emergency meeting and has declared an indefinite 'no pay,no work' strike.

It is on record ASUU gave the state government a month ultimatum to pay at least three months salary, they last received November salary and also pay their academic earned allowance.

Unfortunately the deadline for the ultimatum expired yesterday 13th April, 2016. Some executive members met with the state governor Yahya Bello yesterday but did not change their initial plan to go on strike if they don't get what is due to them. Though the governor promised to pay them very soon but "How soon?!" was in everybody's lips.

They have now resolved to go on strike till they receive the last kobo owed them.
