Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers abducted two wives of a prominent politician Garba Fammar early Monday morning, according to sources speaking at the scene. The women were kidnapped from Kibiya Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano State.

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers abducted two wives of a prominent politician Garba Fammar early Monday morning, according to sources speaking at the scene. The women were kidnapped from Kibiya Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano State.



The gunmen also killed two members of the local vigilante group during an encounter, sources confirmed.
One eyewitness said that the gunmen stormed the personal residence of Mr. Fammar around 2am Monday morning.
The witness said that gunmen arrived to the town on motorcycles and were carrying an assortment of guns and weapons.
“They fired their guns into the air to scare people away,” the witness stated.
When contacted by SaharaReporters the Kano State Police Command Public Relations Officer Magaji Majiya confirmed the incident.
