SOUL 2 SOUL By the rivers we sat Thinking of years gone Hoping against hope Praying for relief Casted and trampled upon No strength left to fight On the altar we bled For our insensitivity Our blood the river washed not Our pains the sound calmed not Each passing day brought it A bitter reminder of our past If only we had known Blinded not by sentiments Maybe we would have sat Round a table before enemies River river drown us now Squeeze this life from us Let our lungs feel your cold As you rush through us Let not death come quietly For we want to struggle one more time Look at life once again And apologize for the wrong we did Yes we did wrong o river Choosing yet another king Now enroute Babylon are we Pausing only by its rivers Hope you'll recount this tale Tell of a people so diversified And had appointed blindly a king **Can't continue...
