I learnt from a friend that a certain tribe in benue state savour fried cockroaches with great relish. Its deep fried and eaten with oil. Is it true or just bollocks?

i know some caribbean/american people eat sea roaches (rather disgusting to me) but I can't imagine someone eating those big flying jumbo brown cockroach undecided . . . now that's nasty

Human beings, we're very funny. Many of the animals we see as edible are the non-domesticated animals easily available around us. That's why people eat the rat in the forest but won't eat the rats that stay inside homes. No food is particularly "wrong," almost anything is edible so far it tastes good to you and it isn't poisonous.

the fact that u hate somn doesnt mean its filthy
and who are u to claim somn is spiritually filthy?
last time i checked none of the two most common holy books our side of africa-bible n quran call roaches filthy

that u detest it doesnt mean others dont consider it a delicacy
i fnd the thot of it disgusting dont mean i up n call those eating spiritually unclean!

i think what they eat is not cockroaches, they are insects, they call them shinge, they are insects that fly out of termiet anthills, they are safe for consumption, how can anybody eat cockroaches ,haba
