It rained over this weekend in my city. On my way home last night, I pick these beautiful snails. Do we have this kind of snails in the wild or farmed? I think they are hot in Europe from my little research.

No sir. I picked them in the wild. They were picked along a flower edge.

I am not going to sell them. They will actually grace my soup in few days time. More so, I picked them outside Nigeria. Only interested to know if we have them in Nigeria.

These look like the Helix Aspersa species of snails. They are farmed in Europe, South Africa and South America.

Be Careful! Some are poisonous.

For what, nobody will touch them here.. The don't grow big at all, Europeans favour the tender soft Aspersa, unlike our tough rubbery Archatina for meat..
