When it comes to browsing with any of the 4 major GSM networks in the country, it is true that locations play very important role in determining how fast or slow the network can be, as areas with poor network signals for particular GSM network tend to make browsing and downloading crawl in similar manner you will if you are driving up a hill with your vehicle in higher gear.

Secondly is that it is also true that none of these networks have constant or steady uptime as there are periods even in areas with very strong network signals that these networks tend to relapse and make browsing a bottleneck.

Sometimes poor network can arise as result of high number of people (network congestion) accessing the network servers at the same point in time and which cannot actually be controlled; that is why you will notice that most of these networks tend to be very fast at night times when lots of people on the network are inactive.

But the good things about other networks like MTN, Etisalat and even Airtel is that most times the poor network period only occur intermittently at short intervals of time, which thereafter picks up and stabilizes within same period (same day).

And again you will notice that in most cases at night, MTN, Etisalat and Airtel record and maintain strong and high network uptime, thereby allowing browsing and download to peak at that time.

Apart from Glo recent increase on their BIS monthly data rate and the slight increase on their cheapest call tariff rate, Glo has special ways of annoying its subscribers

Now as against those other networks with Glo, Glo is in fact the only network that there can be sudden disappearance of network signal and it might take 2 to 3 days before strong signal will be restored, and sometimes even more.

Glo appear to be the only network that even at night that those networks might have peaked in browsing and download speed as result of network decongestion, will remain in dormant and in very weak state as if it has no business with the night while others are blazing.

Little wonder that the Glo network has recently earned itself the title Baba Glo Slow, just like when airtel earned for itself the title King Data Zapper and also not forgetting that Baba Glo Slow has recently joined data zappers league in some instance.

So we advise that you should fear Glo and don’t go and do the unthinkable (smashing your device on the floor) as result of the frustration that Baba Glo Slow can cause you when trying to browse or download that your favourite movie or other juicy resources from the internet.

Oh! my bad, The MTN and Etisalat own are for normal BB plans and not for BB10. but that of Airtel 3GB for N1000 is for BB10 devices and does not zap at all

Glo network can make somebody go mad at times

my guy u have said it all, I stopped using Glo tay tay, now na Airtel very reliable in my area, fast network, fast downloading and cheap internet data subscription.

Glo for my phone go turn from H+ to H and then to E and finally no network at all, this was the network av been using about two years ago but now, over fast dey worry am but now it has become useless
