The best man for this Nigerian coaching job is still Clemens westerhoff. But NFF knows how bold and daring he is so wouldnt want him. |

DExplorer1: Biggest job if you're a white man. if you're a Nigerian, the NFF will owe you salary for months and starve you of funds. |

mickyeddi:Just shows you how quickly we can forget. Claudio Ranieri was the manager who lost to Faroe Islands (Faroe Islands!!!) with the Greek National team, and was inevitably sacked because it was a big shameful and unforgivable thing. 18 months on, he had just achieved the greatest feat the footballing world has ever recorded by winning the English Premiere League title with Leicester City Football Club (Bros...Leicester!!!). What changed about him? Isn't he the same man many people considered a failure? Go to the internet right now and see what even some World leaders are saying about him. He's a winners, a champion. One who achieved the unachievable. But 18 months ago, he was a 'failure'. That José Mourinho had a terrible season at Chelsea does not, all of a sudden, make him the worst manager in the world. We are always too quick to judge the negative sides of people, condemn them and write them off, and it has a way of coming back to haunt and hurt us. If Redknapp would agree to come to Nigeria, he'd be a very nice choice. The man is a nice football manager (you're quick to judge him with what happened at QPR, forgetting what he achieved with Tottenham? Wow). He's got a wealth of experience, and he's a 'father figure'. Even though I've always detested with passion, how our football is being run by the NFF, but going for a manager with the stature and status of Harry shows how ambitious they are, and it's a welcome development. |
