Mitros City (Mission To Rebuild Ogun State), is a new master-planned community to be built on 2000 hectares of greenfield land. The project will be completed within a period of 6-7 years. The Project Managers are Lagos based African United Consultants (AUC), Traffic Consultants are Cairo Based, CGCE Shahin and the Urban Planners/Designers are, Place-Make.

The development will include residences, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, hospitality, tourism, institutions and communal environments. It is expected that Mitros City will ultimately cater for 180,000 residents. The city is not too distant from Lagos Metropolitan area, but also forms a new economic opportunity and identity for Ogun State. Accessibility to the site is of course strengthened by its frontage to the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The Ogun State government have reached an agreement with UBA Construction Company to facilitate the development of the city. The development is being built on low lying land, prone to flooding from the Ogun River, however the river will be realigned and dredged, to address this constraint. The City was unveiled at the Ogun State Government Investment Forum in Abeokuta, held on the 21st and 22nd of May 2014

The other important aspect of this project is that it will reduce the pressure on Lagos with respect to residential living. Nearly 200,000 people could live in Mitros.

Project detail is quite scanty. This may be because they're yet to reach the financial and close for the project. Nobody wants to invest in Nigeria at the moment, the country is bad business.

You will die of Jealousy.
As the present crop of southwesterners get richer, they will all build new houses in new neighborhoods with tiled and colored roofing, the same way their grandparents before them got rich and built those houses whose roofs have now turned brown from aging. They will maintain the older buildings in the city centres and leave them for posterity, history and inner city charm like those of venice, Inner Istanbul, Prague and Rome.

While your land will forever remain the cursed giant sticky red mud gully.

But my questions are ;
1. Whose plan is this? Gov. Amosun? If yes, why did he not come up with it when he newly came to power coz he has just 2yrs to complete his tenure.

2. I live in Ogun state, the most laudable project that Amosun would have achieved would have been this Ofada road. But as at now, it is already an abandoned project.

3. Where would the money come from? Borrow? But why borrowing now and making another government to start servicing it when we all know that political continuity is a problem in this part of the world.

May God help Us.

If you are from the south east south south these topic is not meant for you let them sell buy and build themselves learn never to develop where does not belong to you, so later you will not be thrown to the lagoon and no buying of houses or flats also

Google should be of help bro...Just type the "states with the most criminal cases in Nigeria".. The state rank will surely answer your question..Currently, the state's development is far becoming a roadmap for other states in the region..
