Chrome ads are from websites not chrome itself. Don't know when they will add extension support like it's PC version.

The ads were popping up when I was on Nairaland, and NL doesn't do pop-up ads unless it started recently.

And yeah, can't wait for extension support on Chrome so I can use my fav adblock.

alright thanks, but I'm on the latest update on my redmi note 7 which is 11.0.3, will the uploading of the new ROM affect it, sorry for asking this kind of question I'm not a phone guru

It won't but if you have a means of backing up your files, you should.

Besides share a picture of the about section of your phone lemme know the ROM to look for

People abuse this forum too much. Some users achieve good things here while some don spoil their opportunities due to their posts.

Aside this, you portray your real life attitudes on social media.

I initially wanted to respond but I shrugged it off. The thread has become so toxic these days that it keeps people away but it is a phase that will also pass.

Just try to get that Adguard Pro and see if there would be a difference.

Ignore bro. Please do.

Also, next time, before you decide if someone worth your time, kindly go through their previous post. It will save you the hassles of having to reply and wasting your time.

Or will you want to waste your time on someone that don't even know what IP68 means?

And yes, you are right about faceless forum giving some people liver to just insult anyone that want to. Reason you shouldn't waste your time. See as @Genius43 ignore too.

Thanks boss..

is it that airtel data is getting weaker or my xiaomi device is zapping data too much. I don't usually use Instagram and Twitter.

Just WhatsApp, Nairaland, Gmail , LinkedIn (seldomly)

When I switch back to uc browser after checking another app (say WhatsApp), it displays an add on the screen and ads blocker has been enabled on my uc browser. My mx player too displays ads... Crazy thing is... I have restricted data for this particular app long ago. Sometimes, ads pop up on my homescreen. It's stil the same launcher I have been using since I started using the phone and Internet access has been restricted long ago. Infact wen u restart the phone, it is always alerting me that Internet access has been restricted for it, urging me to unrestrict it, and the pop up vexes me sef.... Seeing it
Try getting yourself the pro version of the MXplayer Rexdl or Revdl can help with that.. For Ucbrowser I had to uninstall although it been my go to app.. I also think Google too sends targeted ads... Don't get such since I don't use it. Try using duckduckgo sometimes.
Enjoy your day

Adblocker on UC doesn't work for ads offered for by UC Browser themselves.

To solve third party ads problem download Adguard Pro.

You're not alone! Had to uninstall UC Browser on my phone. Ads still come up on Chrome too, but not as much as when I was using UC. All these started few days ago.
So which browser are you using? Stock browser is freaking boring... Opera mini many atimes will have to reload the page I left off when I relaunch it, of which if Internet is not good at that time, na waste of time. Abeg, Which other browser has memory like uc browser and is sweet for uploading pix on nairaland?... Google chrome and Firefox are not options...

It is peculiar to MIUI. It is one of their selling points.

Exactly bro. It's just too much. That was why I've been on a low-key here.

But I read every post on the thread from 5 days ago to today and that guy have been particularly vile in all his post. How someone can't control himself on a forum baffles me. When @EseAbed replied him back, I just had to chip in. Some people don't deserve a response at all.

No recent app installed. The ads were originally popping up on the default browser (despite using UC). When I cleared the default of the browser, it started popping up on Chrome. All running apps were closed except the required ones.

After uninstalling UC and switching to Chrome, it reduced to a few instances.

Either the ads are from some apps that were recently updated, or from Google or MIUI. With time, I'll know.

So far today, none has popped up yet.
