He cut his teeth with Gani Fawehinmi and was part of the struggle for June 12. He has been in and out of prison with Fela, Gani, Yinka, Beko, Joe and others in the fight for democracy and has always demostrated a high level of integrity and sound judgement. I'm utterly embarrassed and still insist that he should have known better.

It's been clear for sometime that the great Gani Fawehinmi was the last true activist lawyer. All the rest have been fighting for their selfish interests and when they get what they want (usually money, SAN, fame or all of the above) they show their true colours.
