I choose to write about this topics not just fr the sake of writing but for its utmost significance to the general well being of an automobiles.

Like humans cars are also prone to wear and tear due to periodic or regular use and are subject to routine maintenance at specific intervals , most manufacturers take it upon themselves to specify when these routine maintenance are required and
what actions should be carried out to ensure that these routine checks are well adhered to.

Sometimes motorists or car owners ignorantly get themselves into serious issues regarding their vehicles due to lack of proper knowledge as it concerns strict adherence to these service maintenance intervals, the purpose of these article is to further shed more light on the various service interval and what should form of maintenance should be carried out to keep these cars on the road.

1. AT 8,000 KM

Though most car manufacturers specifies oil change at some lite maintenance after 5000 km but the real test begins at 8,000 km at these point certain routine checks are requires, at this point manufacturers specify disc break pads and rotor checks, inspect ball joints and steering linkages, inspect nuts and bolts on chassis and as well replace oil filter and engine oil, besides these maintenance tips other routine maintenance checks could also be carried out to also compliment .

2. AT 24,000 KM

At 24,000 km a repeat of all the aforementioned maintenance routines at 8,000 km should be carried out with an additional inspection of brakes, hoses and linings as well , these should also imply with the 32,000 KM and 40,000 KM service interval.

3. AT 48,000 KM

At 48,000 km all the above mentioned service routine are recommended by car manufactures including inspection of exhaust pipes, engine mountings , fuel lines , fuel caps, gaskets for breakages, fuel tank vapour vent systems and hoses, also replacement of all transmission fluids , eg manual , automatic and differential fluids are highly requires at these point.

4, AT 56,000 KM

At 56,000 and 64,000 KM basic maintenance routines should just be carried out , like what was carried out at the 8,000 km interval , in addition to these other minor checks to keep the vehicle in adequate condition are highly required.

5. AT 72,000 KM AND 82,000 KM

At these level its highly recommended to carry out the same routine maintenance done at the 48,000 KM mark,

6. 88,000 KM , 90,000 KM AND 100,000 KM

Routine Maintenance at these level requires inspection of disc brake pads and rotors, Inspect for cracks , excessive wears and damages, inspect for engine vibrations and lifter noises, inspect exhaust pipes and engine mountings, , replace ball joints , steering linkages and clean all covers , inspect fuel lines , fuel cover and fuel caps.
